Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct is established to ensure that all tournaments and events at Smart MBS Arena are conducted in a safe, respectful, professional and sportsmanlike environment.

All organisers, players, coaches, managers, referees, officials, parents, spectators, vendors, volunteers and other persons involved in the event are required to follow this Code of Conduct.

1. RESPECT & SPORTSMANSHIP

1.1. Everyone must treat players, coaches, referees, officials, staff, spectators and other visitors with respect.

1.2. All participants are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship, fairness and professional behaviour throughout the event.

1.3. Disrespectful, insulting, threatening or aggressive behaviour towards any person is not allowed.

2. NO VIOLENCE OR AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR

2.1. Fighting, physical abuse, pushing, kicking, hitting or any form of violence is strictly prohibited.

2.2. Threatening behaviour or attempts to cause physical harm to another person are strictly prohibited.

2.3. Throwing objects at players, officials, spectators or staff is not allowed.

2.4. Any serious incident involving violence may result in the person being removed from the venue immediately.

3. RESPECT FOR REFEREES & OFFICIALS

3.1. Referees and match officials must be treated with respect at all times.

3.2. Players, coaches and spectators must not verbally abuse, threaten, intimidate or physically approach referees in an aggressive manner.

3.3. Any complaint or dispute regarding a match must be handled through the organiser's official tournament procedure.

3.4. Decisions made by referees during the match must be respected.

4. PLAYERS & COACHES

4.1. Players and coaches must follow the rules of the tournament and instructions given by match officials.

4.2. Players must not intentionally damage the pitch, goalposts, equipment or facilities.

4.3. Coaches and team managers are responsible for the behaviour of their players and team members.

4.4. Coaches and team officials must set a good example and promote respectful behaviour among players.

5. PARENTS & SPECTATORS

5.1. Parents and spectators must behave respectfully towards players, coaches, referees, officials and other spectators.

5.2. Offensive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate language is not allowed.

5.3. Spectators must not enter the pitch or restricted areas without permission.

5.4. Spectators must not interfere with referees, players or tournament officials during matches.

5.5. Any spectator who behaves aggressively or disrupts the event may be asked to leave the venue.

6. ORGANISER'S RESPONSIBILITY

6.1. The tournament organiser is responsible for ensuring that all teams, players, coaches, officials, spectators, vendors, volunteers and other persons involved in the event are informed of and follow this Code of Conduct.

6.2. The organiser must take reasonable action to control any misconduct involving persons under their responsibility.

6.3. The organiser must cooperate with Smart MBS Arena management in handling any safety, security or behavioural issue during the event.

6.4. Repeated or serious misconduct by participants or spectators may result in action being taken against the organiser.

7. RESPECT FOR SMART MBS ARENA FACILITIES

7.1. Everyone must take proper care of the pitch, goalposts, equipment, toilets, parking areas and all other Smart MBS Arena facilities.

7.2. Deliberate damage, misuse or vandalism of Smart MBS Arena property is strictly prohibited.

7.3. Any damage caused by intentional actions, misuse or negligence may be charged to the responsible person or organiser.

8. CLEANLINESS

8.1. Everyone is responsible for keeping Smart MBS Arena clean and tidy.

8.2. Rubbish must be placed in the designated rubbish bins or collection areas.

8.3. Food, drinks, packaging and other waste must not be left on the pitch or other areas of the venue.

8.4. Organisers are responsible for ensuring that their event area is properly cleaned after the event.

9. SMOKING & PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES

9.1. Smoking is prohibited in designated no-smoking areas.

9.2. The use, possession or distribution of illegal drugs or prohibited substances is strictly prohibited.

9.3. Any person found involved in illegal activities may be removed from the venue and the matter may be reported to the relevant authorities where necessary.

10. PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are not allowed unless prior approval is given by Smart MBS Arena management:

●     Pets or animals;

●     Foldable chairs or items that may damage the pitch;

●     Dangerous or hazardous materials;

●     Items that may damage the pitch or equipment;

●     Unauthorised electrical equipment or cables;

●     Unauthorised banners, buntings, posters or signs;

●     Any item that may create a safety risk.

11. PROPER USE OF THE VENUE

11.1. The pitch and facilities must only be used for the activities approved under the booking.

11.2. Participants must follow all safety instructions and venue rules.

11.3. Restricted areas must not be entered without permission.

11.4. Participants must not interfere with venue operations, staff or other users of Smart MBS Arena.

12. SAFETY & EMERGENCY

12.1. Everyone must follow all safety instructions given by Smart MBS Arena management and event officials.

12.2. Emergency access routes must remain clear at all times.

12.3. Any accident, injury, fight, damage or safety concern must be reported to the organiser or Smart MBS Arena management immediately.

12.4. In an emergency, everyone must follow the instructions given by Smart MBS Arena management or the relevant authorities.

13. HARASSMENT & DISCRIMINATION

13.1. Harassment, bullying, intimidation or threatening behaviour towards any person is not allowed.

13.2. Any form of discrimination or offensive behaviour towards another person will not be tolerated.

13.3. Everyone has the right to participate and enjoy the event in a safe and respectful environment.

14. MEDIA & SOCIAL MEDIA

14.1. Participants and organisers are expected to behave responsibly when posting content related to the event on social media.

14.2. Content that threatens, harasses, insults or intentionally damages the reputation of Smart MBS Arena, event officials or other participants is not permitted.

14.3. The use of Smart MBS Arena's name, logo or branding for promotional purposes requires prior approval from management.

15. CONSEQUENCES OF MISCONDUCT

15.1. Smart MBS Arena management may issue a warning to any person who breaches this Code of Conduct.

15.2. Depending on the seriousness of the misconduct, management may:

●     Give a verbal or written warning;

●     Ask the person to stop the activity;

●     Remove the person from the venue;

●     Restrict access to certain areas;

●     Suspend or terminate the use of the facilities; and/or

●     Report serious incidents to the relevant authorities where necessary.

15.3. Serious misconduct, including violence, threats, vandalism, illegal activities or repeated refusal to follow management instructions, may result in immediate removal from the venue.

15.4. Any costs or damages resulting from misconduct may be charged to the responsible person or organiser.

16. ORGANISER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By booking and using Smart MBS Arena for a tournament or event, the organiser confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to this Code of Conduct.

The organiser also agrees to communicate these rules to all teams, players, coaches, officials, parents, spectators, vendors, volunteers and other persons involved in the event.

Smart MBS Arena reserves the right to take appropriate action against any person or organiser who fails to comply with this Code of Conduct.
