Academy Membership Terms

1. Academy Membership Eligibility

1.1 Academy Membership is only available to football academies that are officially registered with the Commissioner of Sports (PJS) under the Sports Development Act 1997.

1.2 The academy must provide a valid copy of its PJS registration certificate/document to Smart MBS Arena for verification and approval.

1.3 Smart MBS Arena reserves the right to reject, suspend or cancel an Academy Membership if the registration documents provided are invalid, incomplete or do not meet the required conditions.

2. Academy Membership Discount

Approved Academy Members will receive the following discounts:

8.00 AM – 8.00 PM

30%

8.00 PM – 2.00 AM

15%

2.1 The membership discount is only applicable to bookings that meet the purpose and conditions of the Academy Membership.

2.2 The Academy Membership discount cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or special offers, unless approved by Smart MBS Arena management.

3. Permitted Use of Academy Membership

3.1 Academy Membership is strictly for football academy training activities only.

3.2 For friendly matches organised by the academy, the academy must pay a RM200.00 cleaning deposit.

3.3 The RM200.00 cleaning deposit will be refunded after the activity, subject to the following conditions:

●     The area used is properly cleaned by the academy;

●     No rubbish or personal items are left behind;

●     No damage is caused to Smart MBS Arena facilities or equipment; and

●     The area has been inspected and approved by Smart MBS Arena management.

3.4 If the area is not properly cleaned or any damage occurs, Smart MBS Arena reserves the right to deduct part or all of the deposit to cover the cleaning, repair or related costs.

4. Prohibited Use

Academy Membership MUST NOT be used for:

●     Tournaments or competitions;

●     Senior teams;

●     Adult leagues;

●     Corporate teams;

●     Private or individual bookings;

●     Activities involving third parties that are not part of the registered academy; or

●     Any other activity that is not directly related to football academy training.

4.1 Any booking for the activities listed above must be made using the applicable Non-Member rate or any other rate set by Smart MBS Arena.

5. Membership Ownership & Use

5.1 Academy Membership belongs specifically to the registered and approved academy.

5.2 Academy Membership is non-transferable and must not be lent, rented, shared or used by any other academy, team, organisation or individual without written approval from Smart MBS Arena.

5.3 The academy is responsible for ensuring that its membership is only used for the purposes allowed under these Terms & Conditions.

6. ACADEMY MEMBERSHIP ABUSE POLICY

6.1 Any use of the Academy Membership that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions will be considered membership abuse.

6.2 This includes, but is not limited to:

●     Using the membership for activities that are not allowed;

●     Allowing another academy, team or organisation to use the membership;

●     Using the membership to obtain a discount for another party; or

●     Providing false or misleading information to Smart MBS Arena.

First Offence – Official Warning

For the first offence:

●     The academy will receive an official warning from Smart MBS Arena;

●     The membership discount will not be applied to the booking involved and the applicable rate will be charged;

●     The offence will be recorded in the academy's membership record; and

●     Smart MBS Arena may require the academy to provide an explanation regarding the misuse.

Second Offence – Membership Suspension

For the second offence:

●     The Academy Membership will be suspended for three (3) months;

●     During the suspension period, the academy will not be allowed to use any membership benefits or discounts;

●     All bookings made during the suspension period will be charged at the Non-Member rate; and

●     Membership benefits may only be used again after the suspension period has ended and subject to Smart MBS Arena's approval.

Repeated or Serious Offences

6.3 Smart MBS Arena reserves the right to take further action, including permanent suspension or cancellation of the Academy Membership, if the misuse is repeated, intentional or considered serious.

6.4 Any action taken regarding membership abuse will be subject to the decision of Smart MBS Arena management.

7. Smart MBS Arena's Rights

7.1 Smart MBS Arena reserves the right to amend, update, add or change these Academy Membership Terms & Conditions from time to time based on operational requirements and current policies.

7.2 Any changes will take effect from the date specified by Smart MBS Arena.

7.3 By applying for and using the Academy Membership, the academy confirms that it has read, understood and agreed to comply with all Academy Membership Terms & Conditions set by Smart MBS Arena.
